(Anyone looking to move to Northern Michigan? Need a house/cabin?)
Harvesting that most people accomplish in the Fall months would include: Collecting their garden vegetables, canning, baking and enjoying their bounty. This year my harvesting was the task of removing eighty perennials from my flower beds and removing any evidence of a vegetable garden. This was a daunting task since I needed eighty containers. My eyes always watching for curb-side throw away containers. After totally removing two flower beds and removing the evidence of a vegetable garden, the task of growing grass seed became my focal point (not my favorite plant to grow). Next came the problem, where was I going to store all these plants for the harsh Michigan winters. The plants will be fine but the pots will be frozen to the ground for a possible move.
Now my only concern....is keeping the snow from crushing it!
My plants are snug and secure now.
With a clean slat - I will have fun creating a new landscape design for our new home. Bigger and better is my motto.
When God cleans up our Secret Garden, that place within the heart, it must be very rewarding to see his new handiwork displayed.
"How hard it can be to trust in God’s timing. We are a people who want what we want and would prefer it right now. Sometimes it seems as if we are not even on God’s clock. Yet, there is never a time in which He is not aware of the desires of our hearts. He does, however, know better than we do, whether what we want to happen, is necessary or good for us.
