“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy heartless, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.”
2 Timothy 3:1-5
Are the above seeds of sin growing in your Secret Garden, that place in your Heart where the Master Gardener is trying to work? It is a good time to remove those roots that spring up undesirable weeds in our lives. WORD OF CAUTION – be sure to give permission to the Master Gardener to remove the whole root system – or- you will have to deal with the problem AGAIN.
NOT LAVENDER – BUT COLOR NO LESS
(This picture was taken at my son’s house 400 miles south of us, what a difference in seasons.
The picture below is my location in the north country)
Even though some color is arriving slowly in my gardens, I am still waiting for the color in my Lavender Garden.
While I am waiting I decided to look over my domain in expectation of what I could see this season. With coffee in hand, I decided to wander this particular garden bed in hopes of seeing some sign of color. But NO, instead…
… I am greeted with new growth of the wild raspberry bush that I thought I had removed the previous season. This will not be a simple job! I will need to remove this whole lavender bush, in order to completely remove that wild raspberry root system.
Sometimes the things that are not necessarily considered wrong or sinful, still need to be removed in order to deal with a much deeper issue.
